Love -- Kim Clijsters returned to "competitive" tennis for the first time since August, defeating Caroline Wozniacki 6-2, 7-6 in an exhibition in Brussels. It's just an exo, yes, but from the little bit of the match I saw, Clijsters looked fit, trim and ready to contend in 2012. Loved the hair too.
15 -- We're still 23 days away from 2012, but Robin Soderling has already stated he won't be able to play in next year's Australian Open. The Swede has been battling mono since mid-July. He says he feels better and hopes to begin full training in January, in time for a February return.
30 -- Andy Murray's mother, Judy, will be the next coach of the British Federation Cup team. She'll replace Nigel Sears, who is the father of Andy's girlfriend, Kim. There's a Shakespeare play somewhere in there, methinks.
40 -- Roger Federer will play against the U.S. in next February's Davis Cup tie in Switzerland. Yay?
