Less than a week into his tenure as Rhode Island's basketball coach, Dan Hurley is already dealing with a crisis he could never have imagined.

Campus police arrested Rhode Island forward Jonathan Holton on Tuesday and charged him with two counts of video voyeurism, the Providence Journal reported. The 21-year-old Miami native has been accused of videotaping two of his own consensual sexual encounters and posting the videos to Facebook.

Hurley has indefinitely suspended Holton from all basketball-related activities. Holton is scheduled for a felony screening on April 27 and could face up to three years in prison and a $5,000 fine if convicted.

"These are disturbing allegations that strike at the core of our commitment to make this a safe and civil campus community," Thomas R. Dougan, the school's vice president for student affairs, said in a statement. "Respect for the rights and privacy of all of our community members is paramount. Campus police and Student Affairs are involved in separate intensive investigations surrounding these allegations."

The arrest of Holton only adds to what already promised to be a challenging rebuilding job for Hurley at Rhode Island. The Rams won a mere seven games last season, extending the program's streak of missing the NCAA tournament to 13 years in a row.

Holton averaged 10.2 points and 8.1 rebounds per game as a freshman. Maybe he'll still be part of Hurley's rebuilding process, but this certainly isn't a good start.
