Plano (Texas) Prestonwood Christian Academy tight end Christian Morgan is one of the most promising prospects at his position in the Class of 2013. The 6-foot-4 junior is a versatile threat, equally able to throw huge blocks on the corner or cut down field for passes.

As one might expect, that versatility and Morgan's athleticism has drawn the interest of a number of different collegiate programs. Now it's apparently earning Morgan incredibly inventive recruiting material, at least when it comes to new Arizona coach Rich Rodriguez.

As dug up by the Dallas Morning News' Corbett Smith, Morgan received the faux wild west poster you see at right in the mail, with the teen clearly impressed by Rodriguez's (or at least his staff's) recruiting ingenuity.

"Best piece of mail I've ever gotten," Morgan Tweeted along with a photo of the poster.

Perhaps it should come as no surprise that Rodriguez is going far beyond the norm in trying to attract top talent for his new school. After emerging as a master recruiter at West Virginia, RichRod struggled to re-make Michigan in his three years at the helm of the Ann Arbor program, proving to be a classic square peg in a round hole.

Yet those struggles at Michigan have forced Rodriguez to get back to creative recruiting, and he clearly feels that he needs to do some special to try and draw players from talent-rich states like Texas to the desert.

It will be interesting to see if similar posters pop up from other top prospects. If Rodriguez is using a form template for a wild west poster and just photoshopping in names and stats, that's still unique and interesting, but perhaps not a game-changer. Conversely, if he's custom producing themed posters for individual prospects, that is some impressive commitment to a kid who hasn't even officially received a scholarship offer from Arizona yet.
