As Edinson Cavani's star continues to rise, Napoli have been vehemently denying speculation that he will take a fat pay increase to play for a bigger club in Spain or England. And now Cavani himself has declared that he only wants to win with Napoli.
From Football Italia:
"I don't want to be Leo Messi," said the Napoli hitman. "My objective is not to play for money, as I just want to leave good memories. That is the most important thing!"
By referencing one-club man Leo Messi, it doesn't seem he's trying to say that the Argentine is in it for the money, just that his goal isn't to play for a mega-club like Barcelona.
Anyway, if Cavani gives away some of that money he's not playing for, one would imagine he could leave quite a few good memories.
