Holding hands during practice rounds at international golf tournaments, rendezvousing for Valentine's Day in Dubai, betting who can go longer without eating junk food; the relationship of Caroline Wozniacki and Rory McIlroy is just your typical early-20s romance.

The two young sporting stars are currently facing off in a personal wager on who can stay away from their favorite, unhealthy foods for the longest. Wozniacki says she'll stay away from sweets, while McIlroy will give up the salty snacks he craves -- chips and popcorn.

The tennis star wouldn't reveal the amount wagered, which sort of defeats the whole purpose of mentioning it in the first place. If we don't know what's at stake, the rest is meaningless. You don't watch a tennis match without knowing what's on the line, right?

The world No. 4 (and falling) did allude to the fact that the wager wasn't trivial.

"Let's just put it this way," she told reporters. "I wouldn't do it for a pair of sunglasses. I wouldn't put myself through that."

So, two pairs of sunglasses?

Wozniacki continued her Rory swoon on Friday, losing in straight sets to Julie Goerges in Dubai, 7-6 (5), 7-5. She's 20-11 since she started dating the Northern Irish golf star. In the 11 months preceding their relationship, she was 74-12.
